Join us for one of the classic alpine climbs of the Cascades — The Tooth (South Face Route)!
This climb offers a perfect blend of challenge, scenery, and teamwork, making it an ideal objective for those looking to build experience in basic alpine rock routes.

Our route begins at the Alpental Ski Area trailhead, following a beautiful forested path and talus slopes up to Pineapple Pass. From there, we’ll ascend the South Face (5.4) — a four-pitch climb on excellent granite that leads to a panoramic summit with sweeping views of Chair Peak, Snoqualmie Mountain, and the surrounding alpine basins.

Expect a moderate pace of about 2 mph, with time for skill practice, transitions, and safety checks along the way.

🔧 Requirements

• Must have Basic Rock Climb certification or leader permission
• Proficiency with belaying, rappelling, and multi-pitch systems
• Good physical condition for a strenuous alpine approach and descent
