Imagine being young and in love, chopping down trees and peeling logs, setting log upon log to build a home so sturdy it would easily last a century, and carrying your bride across the threshold. Imagine a quiet and remote life, tucked in a lush and remote rain forest. Better yet, experience it yourself at Interrorem Cabin.

The charming, historic cabin is a one-story, square, peeled-log building and includes an open porch across its facade and a pyramidal cedar shake roof. It has a kitchen furnished with a dining table and chairs, a living room with a futon couch/bed, and bedroom with twin bunk beds. A propane heater keeps it cozy during the winter months, and it is also equipped with a propane cook range and lights. There is no refrigerator. Propane is furnished. No water is available on site.

Interrorem Cabin is located beneath magnificent stands of Big Leaf Maple trees, offering guests an ideal location for relaxation and recreation. The cabin was built in 1907 as the first administrative site in the Olympic National Forest. Emery J. Finch, Ranger and Hoodsport pioneer, built the cabin for his new bride, Mabel, and they moved in 1908. Today, the site offers guests a unique lodging experience year-round in Olympic National Forest. The cabin is accessible by car.
