Dip Top Gap! 28ml steep hike, 6+ lakes, fantastic sceneries and great rewards

This beautiful route makes a great backpacking trip or long-day outing for experienced hikers. The Deception Pass Trail steeply climbs through a dense forest, passing Hyas Lake before the junction with the Lake Clarice Trail. From here, you have many options that head into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, but this route heads south on the Jade Lake Trail, passing several lakes before ending at Dip Top Gap, which has gorgeous views of Pea Soup Lake. There are several options to camp at any of the lakes along the route.
