Alpine Scramble – Cowlitz Rocks

Alpine Scramble – Cowlitz Rocks 🏔️

Ready for a rugged alpine adventure with a big payoff? Join CNS for a scramble to Cowlitz Rocks—a lesser-known gem offering dramatic views of Mount Rainier and a true off-the-beaten-path experience.

This route starts on trail before transitioning into rocky, open terrain where route-finding and light scrambling come into play. Expect hands-on sections, loose rock, and a steady climb as we make our way toward the rocky outcrops that define Cowlitz Rocks. The reward is a close-up perspective of Rainier and the surrounding wilderness that few get to experience.
