We are committed to be equitable and inclusive
We are committed to amplifying the voices of members who have been traditionally excluded from the outdoors
Many immigrants living in Washington are often excluded from nature and outdoor activities due to the climate, cultural, and economic barriers.Â
In general, immigrants are the most vulnerable, often dealing with depression and anxiety that isolate them from the community and nature. To amplify the voices of disadvantaged citizens, we want to share their stories and experiences through our social channels and various social media outlets such as Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, etc. We have used these networks to highlight the work of outdoor enthusiasts. We want to reach out to the local and federal government and private sectors to let them realize the disadvantages this community has and provide us with any assistance possible to launch the program and sustain it.
