Our mission is to foster community development through a cooperative model that encourages collaboration, volunteerism, and sustainable growth. We create an inclusive platform connecting individuals, entrepreneurs, and local businesses, driving mutual support and community empowerment. Through shared experiences and collective efforts, CNS promotes eco-tourism, outdoor activities, and meaningful engagement with nature, while enhancing personal well-being, social connection, and environmental stewardship.

Experience Nature Year-Round: Encourage members to enjoy and appreciate the Pacific Northwest’s landscapes across all four seasons.
Promote Social Outdoor Activities: Leverage group knowledge and support to create engaging, community-driven outdoor experiences.
Develop Skills and Recreation: Provide opportunities to learn new skills and participate in outdoor sports and recreational activities.
Share Knowledge and Experiences: Facilitate the exchange of insights and stories from nature tourism and exploration.
Foster Environmental Stewardship: Cultivate a culture of conservation, sustainability, and responsible interaction with the natural environment.
Objectives
To achieve its goals, the cooperative shall:
Organize and lead outdoor activities and cultural events that foster connection, learning, and cross-cultural understanding.
Educate members and the public about the Pacific Northwest’s natural environment and the importance of conservation.
Collaborate with organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to promote sustainable use and protection of natural resources.
Empower members with knowledge and resources to build sustainable cooperative business models that support the local economy.
Promote wellness and quality of life through engagement with nature and natural resources.
Provide a platform for members to share experiences, learn new skills, and explore beyond their comfort zones.
Build partnerships with local communities through educational, cultural, and social events to advance CNS’s mission.
Promote nature-based tourism and urban adventures that highlight the region’s natural and cultural heritage.
Support other nonprofits, funds, and foundations operating for charitable, scientific, or educational purposes.
Conduct any lawful activities necessary or desirable to further CNS’s mission, alone or in collaboration with others.
